The Creole Cocktail

With the winter cold coming down, having another bourbon cocktail in the arsenal seems forward-thinking to me. Originating from New York and made from the love of New Orleans, the Creole Cocktail can be described as a cross between a Manhattan and an Old Fashion but with a herbal twist.

Coupe Glass

Recipe

  • 2 oz.

    bourbon

  • 1 oz.

    sweet vermouth

  • ½ oz.

    Bénédictine liqueur

  • ½ oz.

    maraschino liqueur
  • Lemon peel
    Step 1

  • Fill a mixing glass with ice. Add the bourbon, sweet vermouth, Bénédictine liqueur and maraschino liqueur.

    • Step 2

  • Stir well to chill.

    • Step 3

  • Strain into a coupe glass.

    • Step 4

  • Garnish with the lemon peel.
